Asus Zenpad 10 & Asus Memo Pad HD 7 Tablet HDMI Lead Cable

Your looking for a Asus Zenpad 10 or Asus Memo Pad HD 7 tablet HDMI cable, so that you can connect it to the TV or a monitor.  Unfortunately, no matter how many cables you have tried you either the cable connection does not fit your device or after you connect the cable the picture does not show on the TV.

The reason for not being able to connect the cable or get a picture onto the TV is that neither the Asus Zenpad 10 or the Asus Memo Pad HD 7 can output video via a cable.

Devices like the Sony Xperia Z5 Premium which connects to the TV via a MHL adapter cable and the Tesco Hudl 2 tablet which has a HDMI out can connect to the TV using a HDMI micro cable.

The reason that some devices do not have the video out capability, could be to with making the devices more battery efficient and smaller in size.

Is there a way to connect the Asus Zenpad 10 or Asus Memo Pad HD 7 to the TV?

Fortunately it is possible to mirror your Asus Zenpad 10 and Asus Memo Pad HD 7 onto the television.  There are actually a number of methods of doing so, and they all use wifi to do so.  Let go through your options.

The first option is to use the Google Chromecast 2.  This is a very good option as it is made by Google and integrates well with the android ecosystem.  Connecting is easy also, just plug the Google Chromecast into a empty HDMI port on your TV and power the device using the supplied adapter.  Next download the Chromecast app on your smartphone or tablet.  You will need to connect the Chromecast to the wifi.

Once the Chromecast is set-up you will be able to mirror your screen from your Asus Zenpad 10 and Asus Memo Pad HD 7.  You will also be able to send videos, movies and pictures to your TV without mirroring the screen using compatible apps such as Google Play Movies, YouTube, BBC iPlayer and more.

Buying the Chromecast at time of writing this blog, Google will give you £20 of free Google Play credit, 2 months free of NowTV Movies pass, 90 days free of Spotify Premium, 90 days free of Google Play Music and a free movie rental.

  1. I have searched all over the place to get an answer to whether it is possible to link an Assus zenpad to a Tv via a micro usb/ Hemingway adaptor. You have given me a clear answer and saved me time and money. Thankyou.

  2. I have a HD TV but at doesn’t have WIFI on it, can I still use the method above to connect my ASUS ZenPad10 to my TV? I have spare HDMI sockets on the back of my TV so would me getting a the Chrome Cast you suggested work for me (as said,, even though I don’t have WIFI on my TV) to connect to my TV??

I have a SONY TV box connected to my TV, would that work in the same was as a Chromecast?

    Thanks! J.Goodie.

    1. Hi:

You can use any of the methods above to connect the ASUS ZenPad 10 to your TV. The devices mentioned above have built in Wifi capabilities therefore your TV does not need to have built-in Wifi.

The Chromecast has the same casting features as your Sony Google TV Box.

      Hope this helps.

      Thanks.

  3. thank you for great advice, on amazon they sell hdmi leads probably knowing full well they don’t work,
    I bought one such item.
chrome cast for me I think

  4. Question, I would like to mirror this tablet with my tv at my lake property. I do not have wifi at my lake property, but my tablet has internet through the cell service. Will the chrome cast still work in this situation? Any help would be much appreciated!

    1. Chromecast relies on Wifi for connection from your android device.

For connections without Wifi you would require the Microsoft Wireless Display Adapter or the Microsoft Wireless Display V2 Adapter. You can choose to operate these devices with or without Wifi which means that wifi is not required to mirror the screen from your tablet. Your tablet would also need to have Android 4.2 or greater for this to work.

      1. Thank you so much!

      2. If using Microsoft display adapter would I need to download an app? If so, which one?
        Thank you for your help!!!
